Review of Always Patsy Cline

A good review of Always Patsy Cline from the Free Lance-Star out of Fredericksburg, MD:

To bring a talent like Cline back to life–especially minutes from Winchester, her hometown, where critics would be harshest–is a daunting task, but (Sara) Story steps up to the challenge. She deftly handles the sound and the mature, dignified feminine essence that Cline’s legacy brings to mind.

Always Patsy Cline Opens Today

Always Patsy Cline, the first show of Wayside Theatre’s season, opens today.  This opening marks Wayside’s return to its renovated home in Middletown, VA.  We learned quite a bit about the show and the building during our previews on Saturday, and we’re feeling ready to go today.  This show is a funny and touching tribute to Patsy’s too short life and career.  And of course the music is incredible.

Sara Story plays and sings the role of Patsy and Thomasin Savaiano plays Patsy’s friend Louise who tells her story.  I am in the band playing fiddle and rhythm guitar.  For tickets call (540) 869-1776
